We are the credit analysis team that supports relationship managed business and commercial clients.
The relationship teams are the face of Westpac, St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA, engaging customers across all brands to deliver on our purpose to help Australian Businesses succeed. As a critical element supporting the frontline, we work closely with our Line of Business partners to support our bankers and customers.
How will I help?
Rock-solid relationships are at the heart of every commercial banking decision we make. As an Assistant Relationship Manager, you’ll work closely with Relationship Managers across a diversified commercial portfolio to make sure those connections are second to none. Westpac commercial is committed to sharing the journey with the industry and ensuring they are strongly supported and positioned for growth now and into the future.
You will play a strategically important role in generating high-quality deals – assisting with everything from credit submissions and deal structuring to financial analysis. Your financial acumen and insights will be put to good use, spotting any potential risks involved with existing or new clients and their financial requests. You will conduct cash flow, risk, and financial statement analysis, and regularly review portfolios to make sure the best quality credit is maintained, while making sure the relationships we have with our commercial clients are kept in just as good shape.

What do I need?
We’d love to hear from aspirational accounting professionals looking to develop into our Relationship Bankers of the future. You’ll need to have some serious Commercial financial intelligence and ideally, you’ll come from an Accounting or Finance background within Banking and Financial Services, so that you can apply those skills to complex lending structures, as well as credit and risk analysis.
You’ll be a natural communicator, able to engage and build genuine relationships with our customers, team player and a decisive thinker. You will work collaboratively to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers. Your drive to succeed will help you tackle even the most challenging tasks with an open mind and energy!
