Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Green Gateau Restaurant and Reception Center is an award winning full-service restaurant in downtown Lincoln serving contemporary American cuisine. We are seeking a motivated FOH Assistant Restaurant Manager who takes pride in their performance. Chain or independent full-service experience is preferred. This is a salaried or hourly position where your life and work balance is important. We offer two days off a week, flexible hours, holidays off and paid, and very competitive work hours. Position Purpose:

To ensure the restaurant provides the finest quality guest service in Lincoln in cooperation with other management team members. Assists in meeting or exceeding all banquet and restaurant guests needs and expectations.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists in FOH management of restaurant and banquet facilities

2. Assists in training of staff for restaurant and banquet facilities

3. Performs all accounting duties for restaurant and banquet facilities

4. Performs duties manager or host for restaurant and banquet facilities.

5. Maintains and supports restaurant operating policies and procedures.

6. Maintains a high level of professional appearance, demeanor, ethics, and image of subordinates.

7. Performs special projects and other duties as requested

8. Directly supervises restaurant, banquet, catering shifts as needed

+. Attend weekly management meetings

Position Requirements:

1. Prior experience as a server, shift supervisor, is required

2. Must have basic math skills for opening and closing procedures

3. Ability to lift 25lbs.

4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends

5. Ability to speak English clearly

6. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.

7. High School education

8. Must attain all required food and liquor permits
