Do Work That Matters:
As an Associate in this high performing team, you will work closely with the Director, Senior Associate and Account Manager to support the needs of our customers through value-add solutions. The key purpose of your role is to undertake financial modelling, analyse and assess the risks/opportunities on new lending, as well as assessing the risks associated with increase in client credit.
We’re looking for an Associate with a background in Property lending with an immense passion for customer service.
More Specifically, You Will:
Structure and clearly articulate the credit merits of a transaction, including identifying and mitigating key risks
Write, negotiate and manage credit applications for new and existing clients, undertaking due diligence, financial modelling and risk analysis
Manage the portfolio’s data quality, compliance and daily reporting requirements
Undertake detailed analysis of client and industry specific information focusing on the key financial drivers of each client in order to effectively meet their needs
Identify, research and compile information on new to bank prospects
Complete credit submissions and annual reviews to ensure the timely delivery of decisions, documentation and funding to the client and ensure accuracy of information on source systems
Prepare pitch pack, complex papers and discussion white papers for new and existing clients
Proactively manage the portfolios pipeline and financial reporting
Focus on quality, credit management, portfolio monitoring, total revenue growth and the minimising of credit and operational losses
Assist the Director in better understanding the client’s business and needs, and link this with the formulation of the client relationship strategy, through research and analysis of portfolio and market data and understanding of the Group’s product range
Deliver exceptional customer service in all dealings, as reflected in a positive lift in various survey results
What are we looking for?
We are a specialised high performing team and we’re looking for an Associate with strong background and knowledge of the property lending. You’ll be self-driven with proven ability in large complex transactions. To be successful in this role you will have;
Strong Excel skills and experience in performing financial modelling
The ability to function independently and as a part of a team
Highly developed research and financial analysis skills
Strong commercial acumen and experience in understanding the operational drivers of a business and how they relate to the financial drivers of that business;
The ability to quickly grasp complex transactions and analyse the benefits of the idea of specific client circumstances;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships, along with excellent planning and organization skills.
Business/Commerce or related degree (Accounting/Finance/Statistics Major desirable) or relevant experience in this area
