Job Overview: A law firm in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with 4-6 years of experience to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a background in employment or complex litigation defense, including class and single-plaintiff actions, traditional labor law, and/or employment counseling. Strong academic credentials, exceptional writing and analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic, multi-office environment are essential for this role.
Duties:
• Handle a diverse caseload involving employment or complex litigation defense matters, including class, representative, and single-plaintiff actions.
• Conducted legal research and analysis and drafted motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to develop case strategies and tactics.
• Participate in client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary.
• Provide legal advice and counseling to clients on employment-related issues.
Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in employment or complex litigation defense.
• Experience with class actions, representative actions, traditional labor law, and/or employment counseling preferred.
• Exceptional academic credentials with a demonstrated record of achievement.
• Strong writing, analytical, and research skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team in a multi-office environment.
Education:
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
Skills:
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
