Purpose

Support the Client Data Operations team in GBM Onboarding with counterparty data analysis, investigation, triage, stakeholder coordination, and resolution of data exceptions, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:


Lead the client data operations team and support any data reconciliation projects within GBMO
Develop job aids and procedures for related activities performed by client data operations team
Analyze and reconcile large, and unstructured client datasets from various sources such as Fenergo, Markit ISDA Amend and trading systems.
Manage client data exceptions, perform reconciliations, and ensure accurate counterparty mapping for trade reporting.
Investigate, track and resolve data inconsistencies between Fenergo, other GBM onboarding and trading systems to improve data quality.
Work closely with Global Wholesale Operations, Internal Control and/or Compliance teams to address data issues and exceptions.
Prepares periodic (daily/weekly/bi-weekly/monthly) and ad hoc reporting for internal stakeholders (such as internal controls, compliance, 2nd Line) and external regulators.
Design and maintain operational tracking for all incoming requests (i.e. time it takes to resolved, type of exceptions received, resolution etc.). Produces metrics to identify trends, root causes and areas of improvement.
Manages responses to First Line Testing and Audit concerning client data findings in relation to Onboarding Procedures
Identify and implement improvements in controls, customer service, and productivity.
Foster a customer-focused culture and leverage broader Bank relationships.
Ensure operations align with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, meeting compliance and risk obligations.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:


University degree in Business, Finance, or related field..
Experience in operations management, or project management.
Understanding of relevant regulations to ensure compliance. Key regulations include , Canadian KYC/AML, Dodd-Frank, EMIR, Canadian Trade Reporting, +3-101 Business Conduct..
Familiarity and knowledge of:
Client Onboarding Systems: Familiarity with onboarding tools that streamline the onboarding process, such as Fenergo, Salesforce Markit ISDA Amend.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
