Senior Engineer
The Information Systems Engineer designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Formulates system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
• Evaluates and implements changes to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
• Reviews flow charts, models, and procedures and feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
• Reviews technical documentation to guide system users and to assist with the ongoing operation, maintenance, and development of the system.
• Collaborates with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and to determine project limitations and capabilities performance requirements, systems performance standards, and interfaces.
• Identifies and documents all system constraints, implications and consequences of various proposed system changes.
• Educates end users on system designs and functionalities through creation of training materials and conducting demos.
• Evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of application operations and troubleshooting problems.

Position Summary: Describe below the primary purpose and function of this job
Provides Engineering Automation Services for business critical applications for different Messaging, Managed File transfer, Streaming and Integration application like IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka, ETL tools, Sterling Integrator
Provide technical services (Architect, Install and Configure) and coordination with core infrastructure teams including server, network, storage, Software and middleware.
Must to Have: Ansible, Python, Git, terraform
Good to Have: Confluent Kafka, talend, Apache NiFi, AWS (SA Certified),OpenShift, Sterling Integrator
Key Duties & Responsibilities: List up to 5 key duties and responsibilities, management responsibilities and time spent (if applicable)
• Must have strong understanding of Linux, networking and production systems
• Should have 3+ years of experience building and maintaining infrastructure and services or are a quick learner
• Should have strong problem solving skills, optimizing for the simplest, most robust yet practical solutions.
• Should have experience with orchestration systems such as OpenShift Kubernetes, or ECS
• Strong experience in building Automated Deployments and CI/CD pipelines for Cloud
• Should have hands on Experience in Terraform/Ansible implementation & Managing Infrastructure as Code.
• Should have Hands on Experience in python scripting, scheduling tools & experience in implementing operational automations.
• Must have 3-4 years of experience working with AWS Services
• Should have good understanding and knowledge of IaaS, SaaS and PaaS services and platforms
• Ability to perform benchmarking, performance analysis and tuning
• Should have working knowledge of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR) architecture best practices.
• Should have Development and Engineering mindset along with knowledge of different flavors of Messaging, Streaming & Integration workloads and how different tools and services are integrated.
• Should have working knowledge of Monitoring tools like Splunk, Prometheus and deploy monitoring scenarios, alerts and has good knowledge of best practices
• Should have Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures
• Ability to detect and troubleshoot Server related CPU, Memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
• Should have working knowledge on Cloud watch, Cloud trail and how it works with different AWS services.
• Should have working knowledge of Backup and Recovery best practices.
• Should have good understanding of product life cycle management.
• Should have good written and verbal communication.
• Should have working knowledge on documentation like updating confluence, creating KBs, runbooks etc.
• Should have strong knowledge of process to be followed for provisioning, configuration, patching and upgrades of AWS Services. How provisioning work in AWS, step required for configuration of AWS services with basic setup, how patching and upgrade process works for AWS services.
• Strong experience tool upgrades from one version to another version.
• Troubleshoots and resolve issues through the use of technical abilities and tools
• Provide 16 x 7 system administration support for all of production and remote site systems.
• Solid acquaintance with Linux server with understanding of basic commands and service configurations.
• Quick learner and should be ready to learn new things along with working on it.
• Willingness to work off-hours and weekends to accommodate implementation requirements.
• Candidates must be able to work independently, be organized, self-motivated, inquisitive problem-solvers with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Implements new infrastructure components in a systematic manner adhering to established standards
