Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Audit & Controls Analyst to join our team and play a key role in supporting our SOX compliance efforts. This role focuses on the independent execution and documentation of General IT Controls (GITCs), IT Application Controls (ITACs) and Information Produced by the Entity (IPEs). Your work will help ensure that our IT environment effectively supports accurate financial reporting and meets regulatory requirements.
As the organization continues to evolve, this role is designed with growth in mind. Initially, you’ll focus on enhancing the consistency, quality, and audit-readiness of our IT control testing program. You’ll work closely with control owners and stakeholders across IT, internal SOX team, compliance, and external audit to streamline testing processes, strengthen control design assessments, and support external audit coordination.
Over time, as our IT controls mature and stabilize, this position will also expand to include testing of business process controls, such as those within finance, procurement, HR, and other operational areas, giving you a broader understanding of our internal control landscape and greater career development opportunities. This strategic progression not only supports the company’s compliance roadmap but also positions you for future advancement within the risk, compliance, or audit space.
This is a high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys working independently, and is passionate about improving control quality and reducing risk exposure.
Responsibilities:
Execute testing GITCs, ITACs, and IPEs according to SOX requirements and internal testing plans.
Ensure independence in control testing while collaborating effectively with control owners and process teams.
Document testing procedures and results with a high degree of clarity and audit-readiness.
Track and validate remediation of control deficiencies.
Coordinate walkthroughs between external advisors/auditors and internal teams, evidence collection, and control updates across IT and compliance stakeholders.
Support the continuous improvement of our internal testing framework and tools.
Future scope: Assist in testing business process controls as our environment matures and the control testing program expands.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Business, or related field.
2-5 years of experience in SOX testing, IT audit, or compliance.
Solid understanding of GITCs, ITACs, IPEs, and testing requirements.
Strong documentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
Clear communications skills and the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
