The auditor role is crucial. You’ll be responsible for performing in-depth audits, ensuring compliance across various domains, and analyzing complex financial data. SALARY LEVEL
Pay level for this position:
• GS 7–11: $4+,025.00–$+4,317.00
Salary shown is the base salary for the grade levels. Salary is also commensurate with professional experience.
DUTIES
• Work as part of an audit team, reporting to a supervisory auditor, to address business risk across the FBI.
• Apply professional accounting and auditing knowledge, standards, and principles.
• With guidance, conduct risk-based audits in line with the Office of Internal Auditing (OIA) risk assessment process and resulting OIA-wide audit plan.
• Support planning, execution, and reporting on audits across field offices.
• Support meetings with stakeholders and conduct follow-ups, as needed.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must be willing to travel as required.
• Must meet the FBI’s Employment Eligibility requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
Candidates must have:
• A bachelor’s or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration, or accounting and at least 15 college-level semester hours in one or more related disciplines.
OR
• Combination of education and experience: At least four years of experience in performance auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge.
CERTIFICATIONS
• Most FBI auditors hold certifications, such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
All degrees must be verified by submitting college transcripts.
