This role (Autism Consultant) is assessed as a Roamer position requiring a few days in the office (3 days per week) unless business demands require.
Job Summary:
The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Foundational Family Services/Groups Consultant will support service development and delivery across Foundational Family Services within the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) and Groups services for individuals with developmental disabilities/ a diagnosis of an ASD.
Salary range: $40.78 - $45.7+
This is a temporary full-time role with a contract length of 1 year.
Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to):
Piloting, modifying, and delivering new and existing group-based ABA services, both virtually and in person.
Identifying gaps in services, quality assurance, client experience, marketing, and advertising.
Service development across Foundational Family Services and Group-based ABA services, including developing curriculum and related resources for new group-based services.
Training new facilitators and supervising group service delivery.
Developing report templates and writing reports.
Support other programs within the School Support Program and Foundational Family Services as needed (e.g., Brief Behavioural Consultation, Connections for Students, ABA Coaching).
Evenings/weekends will be required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).**
Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) and/or Registered Behaviour Analyst (Ontario) registration preferred.
Minimum three years’ experience in the field of Applied Behaviour Analysis and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Experience with development and delivery of groups, consultation-based services, and caregiver education will be considered a strong asset.
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Excellent computer (MS Office) and presentation skills.
Travel is required for this position; the successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle and be willing to obtain automobile insurance which includes driving for business purposes with a minimum liability of one million dollars.
Candidates Bilingual in English and French will be given special consideration.
