Job Description
We are seeking an Automotive Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to begin or grow your career in automotive maintenance. While prior experience is a plus, it is not required—what’s most important is a good attitude and a willingness to learn. If you're a motivated, coachable individual with a passion for working with cars and trucks, we encourage you to apply!
Hours:
Monday- Friday 7am-4pm
Qualifications:
• No prior experience necessary, but experience will be considered a plus
• A positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and coachability
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• NO felonies (background checks will be conducted)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must be able to follow instructions and learn new skills quickly
1. Routine Maintenance and Inspections:
• Oil Changes: Draining old oil, replacing oil filters, and adding fresh oil to ensure proper engine lubrication.
• Tire Maintenance: Checking tire pressure, rotating tires, balancing, and replacing worn-out tires.
• Fluid Checks: Inspecting and replenishing essential vehicle fluids, such as coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and power steering fluid.
• Battery Maintenance: Checking battery charge, cleaning terminals, and replacing faulty batteries.
2. Basic Repairs and Replacements:
• Air Filters: Replacing air filters to ensure proper airflow to the engine.
• Windshield Wipers: Replacing worn or damaged wiper blades to maintain visibility.
• Brake Pads and Rotors: Assisting in inspecting and replacing brake pads, and occasionally replacing rotors if necessary.
• Lights and Bulbs: Replacing faulty headlights, taillights, brake lights, and turn signals.
Key Skills for Entry-Level Technicians:
• Basic mechanical aptitude: Understanding basic tools and mechanical concepts.
• Attention to detail: Ensuring all maintenance is performed properly to avoid future problems.
• Time management: Handling multiple tasks and completing work in a timely manner.
• Communication: Effectively communicating with team members and customers.
