Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Journeyman Technician to join our AMVIC licensed mobile mechanic team. This position is open for subcontractors with the possibility of full-time employment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining, assembling, and repairing various automotive systems. Must be proficient with both hand tools and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary. The Automotive Journeyman Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service and repairs.
This role requires the applicant to have their own mobile service vehicle equipped with all tools necessary to perform the day-to-day duties.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Assemble and disassemble automotive components as needed for repairs or replacements.
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs efficiently.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their vehicle's needs and repair processes.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
Adhere to AMVIC standards for quality of work and customer satisfaction.
Experience
Proven experience as an Automotive Journeyman Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or repair shop setting is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components is essential.
Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not required.
Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) safely and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers.
Must have their own mobileservice vehicle equipped with all tools necessary to perform the day-to-day duties.
This position is open for subcontractors with the possibility of full-time employment.
