Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Engineer who can join our team and make an immediate impact through their creativity, enthusiasm, and technical abilities. As a Backend Software Engineer, you will have knowledge of machine learning algorithms and DevOps tools for diverse projects in marine transportation, predictive analytics, cybersecurity, and climate/environmental informatics.
Your responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing existing full-stack applications that combine AI, data analytics, and spatiotemporal big data. You will collaborate with TRABUS software engineers in architecting and deploying new full-stack applications that combine AI and big data analytics. Additionally, you will maintain and develop applications using web-frameworks such as Django and React.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2 years of experience in programming in a high-level programming language such as Python. You should also have experience in Python-based web-frameworks such as Django or Flask, JavaScript, Node, React, Database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL data stores like Redis, MongoDB or Cassandra, API technologies like GraphQL or REST, containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes, automation tools like Ansible and Chef, Git repositories, and strong coding skills in Python, Django, and familiarity with libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
