Job Title: Executive – Plants

Department: Retail / Merchandising

Location: Mumbai (Andheri Marol)

Reporting To: Category Manager / Head of Retail

Note - This would be a junior role executive level.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Executive – Plants to oversee product selection, inventory, merchandising, and vendor management for our plant and floral category. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of plant care and market trends, combined with strong retail and supply chain acumen. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Selection & Inventory Management
• Source high-quality plants, flowers, and gardening accessories in collaboration with buyers and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and plan stock replenishment based on demand forecasts and seasonality.
• Analyze sales trends to optimize product assortment and minimize overstock or waste.
• Ensure timely delivery and rotation of fresh stock to maintain product quality and shelf appeal.

2. Merchandising & Display Management
• Design and maintain attractive in-store and online displays to enhance customer engagement.
• Execute planograms and align displays with seasonal merchandising strategies.
• Ensure clear labeling of products with pricing, care instructions, and promotional signage.
• Oversee the health, cleanliness, and presentation of all plant displays.

3. Sales & Promotions
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on promotional planning and execution.
• Evaluate sales data to identify best-sellers and underperforming items, suggesting improvements accordingly.
• Recommend pricing and promotional strategies to drive sales and profitability.
• Support staff training and customer education on plant care and product knowledge.

4. Supplier & Vendor Relations
• Negotiate competitive prices and ensure the procurement of high-quality stock.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local growers and suppliers.
• Track supplier performance and address any concerns regarding quality or logistics.

5. Compliance & Quality Control
• Maintain high standards for plant health, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor in-store care conditions such as temperature, light, and watering schedules.
• Support sustainable sourcing initiatives and ensure eco-friendly practices are upheld.

Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in retail merchandising, ideally within the garden, plant, or floral industry.
• Solid understanding of plant care, seasonal sales cycles, and consumer preferences.
• Strong analytical skills for inventory planning and sales analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• A creative mindset with an eye for visual merchandising.
• Hands-on attitude with the ability to multitask in a dynamic retail setting.
• Effective communicator and team player.

Job description
We are looking for a Partner Sourcing - Specialist responsible for identifying,

evaluating, and onboarding dependable partners and field executives, with a focus on

those experienced in Background Verification (BGV). This role will cover both

domestic sourcing (India) as well as international sourcing, enabling IDfy to expand

its global operational footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable partners and field executives for address

verification services across domestic and international markets.

• Focus on sourcing vendors/agencies with prior experience in BGV and field

verification processes.

• Build and maintain a robust partner network to meet operational requirements

across cities, remote areas, and international locations.

• Develop region-wise sourcing strategies based on business demands and

operational needs.

• Negotiate contracts and terms with partners to establish clear service-level

expectations and commercial agreements.

• Maintain a well-documented and updated partner database for efficient

resource allocation across geographies.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams (Partner Development, Operations, ZTP

Team, etc.) to understand sourcing needs and align partner onboarding

accordingly.

• Evaluate partner performance regularly, ensuring they adhere to IDfy’s quality

standards, process guidelines, and Zero Tolerance Policy (ZTP).

• Explore new sourcing channels, including online platforms, industry

associations, referrals, and international vendor networks.

• Stay updated with country-specific regulations and compliance requirements

while sourcing international partners.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; experience in vendor sourcing, international

procurement, or partner management is preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in sourcing vendors/partners, preferably in the

background verification, logistics, or field operations industry.

• Experience sourcing international partners will be a strong advantage.

• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Familiarity with international sourcing practices, vendor onboarding, and

cross-border coordination.

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience working with sourcing

platforms, vendor databases, and procurement tools.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with tight deadlines.

• Problem-solving mindset with an ability to anticipate operational challenges and

proactively address them.
