BANK EXECUTIVE – US OPERATIONS
This is a remote position in United States.
Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Bank Executive to join our team in a full-time or part-time role. The successful candidate will guide the business with respect to its day-to-day operations as it relates to the following areas, which the candidate must have experience in:
We are a fintech company in the process of applying for a banking charter license. During this licensing phase, the banking operations will not generate income. We will have an executive dedicated to overseeing this process. The ideal candidate must meet the minimum experience requirements established by state or federal banking regulators to facilitate our charter licensing application.
Immediate Responsibilities
• Assist with the application for a new banking charter license. Ideally the charter would be for Utah or South Dakota
• Other requirements needed for immediate responsibilities related to obtaining a banking charter license
Long Term Responsibilities
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives to drive bank growth and sustainability
• Lead, manage, and support senior leadership teams in financial and operational planning
• Oversee financial performance, risk management, and profitability
• Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations, including compliance with industrial bank-specific laws
• Establish internal policies that minimize risk and enhance regulatory compliance, especially in consumer lending, credit, and financial operations
• Work closely with the board of directors to align the bank's risk management strategy with business objectives
• Manage financial operations including capital allocation, budgeting, and liquidity
• Ensure that the bank’s operational infrastructure supports growth objectives while meeting the needs of stakeholders
• Foster and maintain relationships with regulators, stakeholders, and clients to ensure the bank’s continued success and trust in the community
Requirements and Qualifications
• Experience in obtaining bank charter license within the U.S. would be an important asset
• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• MBA, CFA, or relevant financial certifications preferred
• 10+ years in senior financial roles with proven success in managing risk, credit operations, and financial oversight. Experience in regulatory compliance and operational management in banking or financial institutions
• Comprehensive knowledge of both state and federal banking regulations, with a focus on industrial banks and consumer lending, particularly in Utah or South Dakota would be an asset.
• Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives, ensure regulatory adherence, and minimize risk while driving growth and profitability
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and relationship management with excellent communication and financial acumen
