Big commerce Developer

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, front-end developers, and project managers to develop and implement custom solutions on the BigCommerce platform.
• Customize and extend the functionality of BigCommerce themes and templates to meet specific project requirements.
• Develop and maintain backend processes and functionalities including data integration, API integrations, and third-party application integrations.
• Optimize the performance of the BigCommerce platform by identifying and resolving issues related to speed, scalability, and security.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues to ensure the smooth operation of the BigCommerce platform.
• Stay up to date with the latest BigCommerce updates, features, and industry best practices, and recommend improvements to enhance the platform.
• Collaborate with the frontend development team to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend components.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to development standards.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures related to BigCommerce development.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and maintaining BigCommerce websites and applications.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies.
• Experience with the BigCommerce Stencil framework and the BigCommerce API.
• Solid understanding of e-commerce best practices, user experience, and responsive design principles.
• Familiarity with front-end development tools and frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, or Angular.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
