We have expertise in removal defense, family-based matters, and humanitarian matters like U visas, and DACA and spousal PIP. The attorneys have extensive experience in these cases. The attorneys are members of AILA - the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Mr. O'Connor is Board-Certified in immigration law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2014.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Bilingual Legal Assistant / Law Clerk at O'Connor & Associates, PLLC. The role involves intaking Spanish speaking clients, preparing legal filings often using immigration software, written communication with clients in Spanish and English, going the extra mile to help our foreign clients navigate the U.S. immigration system.
Qualifications
• Spanish speaking fluency
• Ability to relay clear communication between firm and client
• Background in legal matters and foreign cultures
• Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is required
• Knowledge of immigration law is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• B.A. or other college degree
