BookKeeper/Commercial Officer
Permanent Part Time(4days)

About the role
Reporting to the Business Manager, you will be responsible for Payroll, AP, AR, general data entry, resident contracts and general finance tasks. You will work in a team that shares and contributes to some of these tasks.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Using a range of office software, including email, Microsoft Office & highly experienced using MYOB.
Care Recipient invoicing & track payments, supplier invoice entering and reconcile payments, PAYG, BAS, Super & Payroll.
Fortnightly payroll (with input from the Roster Administrator).
Maintain Account Management System (MYOB).
Finalise monthly data reconciliation for preparation of monthly management reporting by independent accountant.
Maintain, monitor and reconcile bank accounts and cash flow.
Correspond with customers and suppliers as required regarding AP and AR.
Liaise with Medicare, Public Trustee and other government agencies as well as care recipients and families regarding care recipient payments.
Analysis of monthly Medicare Payment Statement.
Ensuring financial information is clearly outlined to care recipients and/or their representative.
Manage and maintain care recipient residential contracts.
Skills and Experience
Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or higher qualifications.
A minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
Highly experienced in MYOB or similar is essential.
A high level of computer skills including Microsoft office or equivalent.
Essential Personal Criteria:
Strong customer service focus.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
Ability to maintain customer confidentiality and privacy.
The ability to work independently, be self-directed and plan well.
A current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain as part of your commencement.
A 2022 influenza vaccination.
Compliance with NSW Health mandatory vaccination criteria for aged care employees, which is currently to have received 3 doses of COVID-1+ vaccine.
Desirable:
Knowledge of Aged Care industry including fees and funding.
Knowledge of My Aged Care; Proda, myGov and other government portals and protocols.
Experience with workers compensation claims and submissions.
Some experience in quality systems and data management.
