DESCRIPTION:
Company One Theatre seeks candidates for the position of Box Office & Special Events Manager for performances of HAUNTED by Tara Moses. Performances will be held at Rabb Hall in Boston Public Library’s Central Branch (700 Boylston St, Boston, MA 02116)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Will report to the Marketing & Communications Manager
• Box office
• Prioritize a welcoming atmosphere and the care of C1’s communities
• Supervise C1 Box Office Associates
• Oversee and lead set-up of the box office system for each performance, ensuring that all box office computers are functioning properly
• Assist Box Office Associates in processing day-of ticket sales and free reservations at performances.
• Fill in for Box Office Associates as needed when they are unavailable.
• Manage lobby operations in collaboration with the Box Office Manager, C1 Producer, New Work & Connectivity department.
• Responsible for sending out pre- and post- performance emails to audience members for all C1 productions & programs
• Assist with audience members’ accessibility & inclusion needs
• Manage will call lists and other TicketLeap functions
• Special events
• Facilitate and assist the Connectivity Team with event space setup, including tables and chairs, food and drink, and any other materials needed for programming at the Strand
• Produce and support in person pre-show and post-show events happening during the course of the run.
• Manage permitting process for all pre-show and post-show events
• Working with the Connectivity & New Work Team to finalize programming details for productions
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in a customer service job desired but not required. Leadership experience preferred but not required. Seeking Boston-based candidates or those who have their own housing/transportation in the Boston area. HOURS:
• Paid Training:
• One meeting the week of January 20 - Time TBD
• Invited Dress Rehearsal on the evening of January 23
• Performances/shifts:
• Evenings and weekends January 24 through February 15
• Call time for this position is 2 hours before performances
• Performances Thursdays at 7:30pm, Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 7:30pm, and Sundays at 2pm
• The show is approximately two hours long with one intermission
• Additional performance Saturday, February 15 at 2pm
