Role: Business Analyst
W2 Contract: 6 Months (Possible extension / Full-Time conversion) Location: 100% Remote
• This position is predominantly remote. Once per quarter, all-hands in-person meetings are mandatory in Washington, DC. Therefore, candidates must be based in Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, or Delaware.
Overview & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the Requirements Team of a Business Systems Supervisor. The team is focused on managing requirements for pre-adjudication, post-adjudication, the Salesforce suite, and artificial intelligence initiatives. This role will specifically support projects centered around conversational AI and natural language processing (NLP) to enhance the digital conversation experience. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for:
Driving end-to-end business analysis for conversational AI projects, ensuring seamless integration of NLP technologies.
Analyzing and interpreting data to identify patterns, areas for improvement, and actionable insights.
Developing and documenting use cases, process flow diagrams, and data models to support project objectives.
Collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand and address healthcare or health insurance-related member inquiries.
Supporting efforts to improve the containment rate for interactive voice response (IVR) systems by leveraging conversational AI.
Performing traditional business analysis responsibilities, including stakeholder communication, requirement gathering, and ensuring deliverables meet business needs.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of business analysis experience, or a high school diploma and at least + years of relevant experience.
In-depth experience with conversational AI projects, including natural language processing, from inception to completion.
Strong knowledge of healthcare or health insurance industries, with the ability to understand and address member needs.
Expertise in data analysis and interpretation to drive decision-making.
Proven ability to create detailed documentation, including use cases, process flow diagrams, and data models.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with Salesforce and other customer relationship management tools.
Familiarity with IVR systems and improving digital engagement metrics, such as containment rates.
Advanced skills in identifying patterns and recommending improvements based on data analysis.
Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and its application in healthcare or health insurance.
