Finance on the Cloud (FotC) is a key enabler of the transformation of the Finance function. The job holder is expected to work on Process and Operating Model Global design of one the key initiatives of FotC, i.e. the T0 Trial Balance for all entities Globally starting with the UK as a pilot. Role Purpose The Vice president – Finance Operations (Business Analysis) is a global role under Finance on the cloud (FoTC) initiative across regulators and leads change design and delivery, working closely with Finance, HOST, Risk and the Global businesses. The key objects of this roles are to lead the delivery of the following initiatives; Delivery of the Regulatory Reporting Finance Transformation Initiatives, which includes; • FoTC Common Data design work stream: Leading delivery of the FoTC common data platform for current and future initiatives in pipeline requested by value streams (RWA, Liquidity, Financial Reporting and others). This includes participating in establishing operating model changes to achieve the programme objectives. • FoTC Common Data standardization: Leading the change to standardize the data which serves the input to other value streams consuming the information from common. • Managing day to day design deliverables for upcoming FoTC releases: Leading and managing wide team of design BAs supporting FoTC BoW. • Supporting other work streams within FoTC: Supporting delivery of the FoTC RWA, Liquidity, Financial Reporting and BFA strategic programme Architecture Efficiency and Technical Initiatives • Data Modelling: Ensuring the design is forward compatible. Data produced with a new schema can be read by consumers using last schema. Also ensuring that the data milestones produced by VS systems are published back to common while maintaining data standards. • Data Transformation: Common data products are meant to serve all the data consumers of various reporting streams. No data derivation specific to value stream is performed at common layer. The Vice president – Finance Operations (Business Analysis) manages team members, both locally and in-country, to undertake quantitative and qualitative analysis in FoTC design work stream order to elicit requirements gaps from the business, manage and translate design changes effectively throughout the project lifecycle and ultimately ensure that change programmes achieve their objectives and deliver the anticipated benefits to the organization. The Role holder operates at an executive level and engages and influences a wide spectrum of stakeholders and partners across the business, especially Finance, HOST and Risk, and has a good understanding of approaches, tools and techniques for managing and reviewing business requirements, clear understanding of solution design cycle and should be able to select and apply right approaches, tools and design techniques according to context. The role holder is experienced in defining, developing and translating requirements to optimum designs while applying principles and practices of a good design, at all stages of the project lifecycle from high level business requirements translating to the efficient design. The role holder is able to challenge proposed changes to FoTC requirements and reject, reprioritize or escalate as appropriate, sets and applies high expectations with respect to quality, use of design delivery tools like JIRA, confluence etc. and document standards. The role holder manages a robust change control process as design lead to ensure change requests scope is covered in design.
