Job Summary

A Business Development Representative is responsible for attaining established individual, department and Bank goals through active participation in outside calling efforts. Results to be measured include new deposit accounts and relationships, lending referrals and portfolio retention. Candidate must possess exceptional level of customer sales and service skills in addition to being able to communicate with prospects expeditiously and effectively while ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures and industry regulations. Position requires participation in community events and organizations to increase visibility and enhance new and existing business opportunities.

Responsibilities and Duties

Develop new deposit relationships and commercial loan leads in the Greater Manchester Area
Attain predetermined sales goals through officer call programs and individual/department marketing strategies
Track all calling efforts, sales results, and marketing initiatives
Call on existing BNE customers for purposes of retention and expanding current banking relationships
Provide a superior level of customer relations and service
Develop a strong understanding of specialty products for sales purposes as well as onboarding customers
Develop and grow relationships with local leaders and organizations by taking an active role in the community
Foster effective relationships with BNE lenders, branch staff, and management
Support lenders as second point of contact for their customer base and assist in furthering relations to include deposit accounts
Actively participate in department meetings and communicate new ideas effectively
Assist in planning and managing local networking events
Ensure compliance with BNE policies and procedures
Other duties as required by the Director of Business Development
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Minimum high school diploma with twelve months banking experience required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. (Word, Excel)

SKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent communication and organization skills with the ability to positively and effectively represent the organization. The ability to effectively collaborate with others. Capable of handling pressure and remaining adaptable in a fast-paced, changing work environment while prioritizing and multitasking effectively. Efficiently and professionally resolve problems in a variety of situations that may involve coordinating with multiple departments.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Additional requirements include a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
