Role Responsibilities
Work closely with the Cluster CTOO India & South Asia to own and drive the integrated &ldquoOne Bank Transformation, Technology and Operations agenda in the region and brings alignment across the business and functions by working closely with Country MT, Group Technology and Operations MT office and relevant stakeholders.
Constructive engagement with the Front Office and other functional teams (CEO's Office and Business Head's Office included) to optimise alignment across businesses underpinned by continuous emphasis on innovation and agile ways of working.
Strategy
The BPM supports Cluster CTOO India & South Asia office and its management team to drive business performance and to facilitate and assists in the day-to-day running of the TTO agenda in the region.
• Partner with the Cluster CTOO in developing the strategy for the region.
• Ensure alignment with Transformation, Technology and Operations (TTO) strategy within the country.
• Work with Cluster CTOO in overseeing the implementation of TTO service delivery strategy, working with country CEO, country business heads, functions heads, etc.
• Work with the Cluster CTOO in driving the successful implementation of key initiatives and projects that support the achievement of the country strategic agenda.
• Work with Cluster CTOO in overseeing innovation and delivering transformation agenda for the country with the aim of making the Bank a leading digital bank.
• Work with the Cluster CTOO in driving transformation of Technology and Operations teams in the country to adopt scaled agile delivery to drive outcome based OKRs/KPIs and improve customer experience
• Work with the Cluster CTOO in driving strategy to streamline processes, enhance productivity, reduce risk, improve controls, leveraging technologies.
• Work with the Cluster CTOO in driving strategic investment reviews owned by the Country Management Team
Business
• Support Cluster CTOO in lifting the game on Client Advocacy, support Client Journey priorities and exemplify Habit of Improvement
• Support Cluster CTOO in driving momentum and culture of using data and analytics to make business decisions, improve productivity and risk management
• Support Cluster CTOO in uplifting SA Operations capability to be client first and fit for future
• Work with Product COOs and CIOs office to align across projects and priorities and the prioritisation plan for country execution.
• Support Cluster CTOO in driving continuous improvements in Productivity and Cost Efficiencies at all levels.
• Support Cluster CTOO in managing execution of performance objectives to ensure that technology and operations are stable, secure and delivered in line with service requirements
• Support Cluster CTOO in driving adoption of continuous improvement and agile practices, mindsets and capabilities
Risk, Control and Governance
• Support Cluster CTOO in in elevating Region&rsquos risk management (esp. in ICS, Data, and Conduct) reinvent R&C agenda
• Work closely with the Cluster CTOO to ensure there is a framework for effective management of operational risks across the country and compliance with applicable internal policies, and external laws and regulations.
• Work closely with the Cluster CTOO in setting infrastructure and process frameworks to monitor, manage, and escalate risks affecting the business in its use of technology and escalating material risks for the region, in accordance with the Group's risk management framework.
• Work with country support function heads team to proactively address thematic issues and significant operational problems as they arise, i.e., &lsquojoining the dots between SIS, Audit, BMA, peer reviews, etc., findings.
Processes
• Work closely with the Cluster CTOO in delivering &lsquohorizontal (i.e. across the client journeys) process excellence in the country to reduce handoffs, reduce risk and improve client service in collaboration with Journey COOs and GBS leads.
• Work closely with the Cluster CTOO in implement digitisation projects and manage the change process to reduce manual hand-offs, reduce risk and improve client service collaborating with Journey COOs and GBS leads.
• Work closely with the Cluster CTOO in driving adoption of best practices, architecture, technology standards and methodologies.
People and Talent
• Champion and act as a role model of the Group&rsquos values and culture in the region/country. Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Work in partnership across teams.
