Description of role

Joining this group, you will integrate a new scrum team contributing to the development of two core components of ACRS: Rates and Inventory Management. Their roles are critical as they allow our customers to define their sell strategy (prices, taxes, sell limits, overbookings…) with a good user experience and are also exposing some APIs to third-party Revenue Management Systems.

You will work on implementing some new features with a strong focus on quality, which encompasses backward compatibility of any new development, data consistency and performance amongst other aspects; and you will also participate in the maintenance activity on existing software.

Common Accountabilities
• Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the company's business and how it is related to its area.
• Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions.
• Make recommendations on new solutions and propose improvements by analysing different sources of information.
• Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from the manager.

Key Deliverables:

Analyse specifications –
• Define user requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.

Design systems and code –
• Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
• Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
• Develop software according to the company's standards.
• Model, design and implement databases.

Test and maintain the software –
• Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the company's guidelines.
• Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
• Support the customer by debugging existing solutions in collaboration with the Product Manager or Product Definition Analyst

Document your work –

Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue it to the requesting departments.

Skills:

C++ 17 or higher, Oracle, Couchbase, Azure, Kafka, GIT, Agile methodology, Python

Education:

Degree educated or equivalent work experience
