Full job description
Oh Sweet Day! Bake Shop is opening a new location! We are hiring a Full-Time/Part-Time Cake Decorator/Baker to join our new team! We are a dessert shop located in the heart of Port Moody on St Johns Street. We are proudly serving the neighborhood and the rest of the Lower Mainland. Our products are made in-house and we are very passionate in bringing the best cheesecakes, our very own modern design buttercream cakes and quality baked goodness to our customers.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

buttercream cakes assembling and decorating for shop front and custom orders
fondant figurines/features building and decorating
baking/preparing baked goods, including but not limited to cakes, cheesecakes, cookies, tarts, cake fillings, and buttercream
front house support, including but not limited to operation of cash register, clean up, folding boxes, product packaging, and serving customers
maintaining workstation, kitchen and overall shop cleanliness
The Successful Candidate must:

have a positive attitude, strong work ethics, and the willingness to learn
demonstrate the ability to prioritize and multi-task efficiently
have excellent communication skills and customer service experience
be a self-starter who strives in a team environment and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
maintain a high level of overall cleanliness
be available to work weekends and holidays
Experience:

Cake assembling/decorating (Required)
Baking (Required)
Food service: 1 year (Required)
Education:

Food Safety Level 1 certification (Preferred)
High school completion or equivalent (Required)
Language:

English
