As a Tactical Crime & Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing information from a variety of sources and making recommendations to address crime and social disorder problems. Specific duties of the position include:
Collect, summarize, and interpret data and information to produce intelligence and operational enforcement documents aimed at advancing operations and investigations, producing leads, and identifying possible offenders.
Perform tactical analysis utilizing a variety of analytical tools such as GeoTime, ArcPRO, Power BI and i2.
Produce/Present written and oral recommendations or provide presentations to investigative and management teams on identified priorities.
Conduct Open Source, Social Network, Communication (Production Order), and Data (Tracker) and Intelligence analysis to determine viable considerations for investigation, enforcement, and further information collection.
Prepare comprehensive analytical packages focused on criminal incidents including briefs on emerging crime issues and trends.
Generate products related to offender identification and management, including person profiles, threat analysis, and risk assessments to support informed decision-making.
Present analytical findings in court and facilitate criminal prosecution by generating written and graphic material to enhance the understanding of the investigative process.
Initiate and maintain relationships with internal units, as well as appropriate external agencies, to gather and disseminate information and analysis.
Liaise with partners and external agencies to identify crime trends and movement from the municipal, regional, national, and international level.

Working Conditions: This position involves exposure to graphic, disturbing, and offensive subject materials, and may require work outside normal business hours.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in a Social Science or related field (ie. Spatial Analysis) with at least 3 years of demonstrated research and analytical experience; OR a Master¿s degree with at least 1 year analytical experience. Experience within a law enforcement or public safety context would be considered an asset.
Demonstrated ability to conduct research, formulate/ test hypotheses and provide recommendations.
Advanced level skills in Microsoft Office Excel are required.
Intermediate level skills Palantir, SQL, i2, Power BI, GeoTime and ArcGIS PRO are considered an asset.
Previous experience in writing/presenting tactical recommendations/intelligence analysis is preferred.
Analytical thinking, change management, coaching & development, communication, efficiency & thoroughness, focus on results, and relationship building.
Pre-employment Requirements
An enhanced security clearance and pre-employment polygraph will be conducted.

Position 2: 800 Saddletowne Circle N.E.

Compensation: Pay Grade 12 $47.01 - 62.84 per hour
Days of Work: This position works 4 , 10 hour shifts in
a compressed 4 day work schedule. Some evening
and weekend work hours may be required.
May be required to be on-call or called-out.

Hours of work: Non-Standard 40-hour work week
