Job description
Our client is a reliable & and well-known large organisation within pressure and temperature measurement and calibration technology. They are currently looking to recruit a Calibration Technician below.

A bit about the role:

• Perform hands-on calibrations as needed within the laboratory.

• Calibrate and measure precision instruments within both UKAS and non-UKAS calibration scopes efficiently and in a timely manner.

• Ensure customer expectations are met, and on-time delivery is maintained.

• Adhere to UKAS procedures, making necessary adjustments to instruments as required.

• Document any discrepancies found with attention to detail.

• Be able and confident to work independently in the laboratory or on-site, coordinating with customers as needed.

• Ensure all laboratory equipment is calibrated, and machines are serviced according to maintenance schedules.

• Proficiently use and calibrate handheld instruments such as Micrometres, Vernier Calipers, Sine Bars, Angle Plates, Rules, Length Standards, Height Gauges, and Dial Test Indicators.

• Collaborate with the Calibration Manager and laboratory staff on various projects and tasks as required.

What’s required:

• Must be commutable to Jarrow

• Educated to HNC Level

• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and interpreting geometric tolerances, with a strong understanding of quality standards such as ISO+001 and ISO17025.Electrical testing and calibration experience

• Have a good understanding of basic electrical principles.
