Job description
An exciting opportunity awaits for two passionate and experienced individuals to join the Canteen team at Mango Hill State Secondary College as permanent part-time Canteen Assistants at 0.7+ FTE and 60 hours per fortnight. The successful applicants can commence immediately.

As the Canteen Assistant you will perform a variety of catering and cleaning activities to ensure the effective operations of the canteen and adhere to the maintenance of safe and hygienic operations within the canteen.

About Mango State Secondary College

We are one of Queensland's newest secondary schools, having opened our gates with cohorts in Years 7 and 8 in January 2020. Since that time, our college has grown by one year level each year, with our first full cohort of students from Year 7 to Year 12 in 2024.

Along with our new building programs, we are building a committed, professional and dynamic teaching staff that will challenge and engage our young people, to allow them to explore the world around them in a safe and supportive learning environment. About The Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide quality canteen and catering customer service including food production and food preparation duties, counter service, clearing tables and cleaning duties.
Provide a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation, storage and safe handling of food.
Follow procedure regarding food preparation and adhere to daily menu plans.
Ensure that malfunctioning equipment is reported to the Canteen Supervisor in a prompt manner using appropriate paper work.
