Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Apprentice to join our construction team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the carpentry trade while working under the guidance of skilled professionals. The Carpenter Apprentice will assist in various construction projects, learning essential skills and techniques necessary for a successful career in carpentry.

Duties

Assist experienced carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Help with concrete forming tasks, ensuring proper alignment and support for structures.
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
Utilize power tools safely and effectively to perform various carpentry tasks.
Participate in masonry work as needed, including laying bricks and blocks.
Support construction estimating efforts by measuring materials and assisting with calculations.
Engage in electrical work under supervision, including basic wiring tasks.
Assist with construction painting to ensure a polished finish on completed projects.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized job site.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills

Basic knowledge of carpentry principles and techniques is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with concrete forming processes is a plus.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
Experience with power tools is advantageous; training will be provided as necessary.
Understanding of masonry techniques is beneficial for diverse project needs.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Willingness to learn about electrical systems related to carpentry projects.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks associated with carpentry work.
