About the Opportunities

DCG is looking for Carpenters of all levels, from enthusiastic apprentices to seasoned professionals based in Langley, BC. In this role, you will engage in various carpentry tasks, including formwork, layout, framing, and concrete projects, all while following strict safety protocols.

Qualifications for each level:

Carpenter 1 (Entry-Level Helper)

Completed 1st year apprenticeship or equivalent.
Basic tool knowledge and safety.
Assists in stripping, stacking lumber, and hardware installation.
Owns basic tools (hammer, pouch, tape, square).
Can follow direction from senior carpenters.
Carpenter 2 (Apprentice)

Completed 2nd year apprenticeship or equivalent.
Familiar with single/double whaler systems and vibrators.
Uses simple power tools and performs minor carpentry tasks.
Works with minimal supervision; progressing toward rigging/hoisting training.
Carpenter 3 (Junior Carpenter)

Completed 3rd year apprenticeship or equivalent.
Builds small forms/walls with minimal supervision.
Performs layout and rebar inspections.
Reads basic plans and applies knowledge of pour rates and benchmarks.
Carpenter 4 (Senior Carpenter)

Red Seal certified (4+ years) or 5 years’ practical experience.
Full layout capabilities, curved formwork, and mentoring.
Reads intermediate plans and conducts material take-offs.
Leads teams of 1–3 lower-level apprentices.
Carpenter 5 (Lead Hand Carpenter)

Red Seal certified (min. 5 years) or un-ticketed with 6+ years’ experience.
Leads crews, handles full site layout and surveying.
Reads all plan types (architectural, structural, etc.).
Manages safety documentation, timesheets, and pour coordination.
