Overview

The Case Manager - Relationships provides dedicated service to insurers and client Trustees, managing claims related to Death, Terminal Illness, Income Protection, Permanent Incapacity, and Total and Permanent Disablement. With professionalism and a member-centric approach, they ensure accurate, timely, and sensitive communication.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

Manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
Take ownership of claims, with proactive follow-ups and communication to drive outcomes.
Establish rapport to create positive member experiences.
Handle difficult conversations with empathy and resolution-focused strategies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and service excellence.
Ensure actions are completed within agreed timelines, maintaining service and quality standards.
Foster strong relationships with the team and key contacts.
Adhere to all legislative guidelines and compliance requirements.
Experience & Personal Attributes

Knowledge of group insurance claims (Death, TPD, TIB, PI).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Minimum 1 year of case management/assessment experience in group life claims or equivalent.
Customer service expertise and multitasking ability.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Relationship-building capability and adaptability to change.
RG146 compliant, with knowledge of the SIS Act and Insurance Act.
Tertiary qualifications in business, insurance, financial planning, or related fields.
