About Role
ION Analytics, part of the ION Group, is looking for a highly driven writer to join our breaking news aggregation team in Mumbai. As part of a global editorial organization, the successful candidate will be responsible for filing real-time news and announcements for our flagship Mergermarket and Debtwire platforms, among others. This role is key to ensuring ION Analytics delivers timely, accurate updates to subscribers across a range of areas, including M&A, leveraged capital markets, equity capital markets, infrastructure, anti-trust, shareholder activism, and private equity funding.
Key Responsibilites
• File reports and summaries from stock exchanges, press releases, other public records, and news outlets.
• Compile data for earnings calendars and curated roundups.
• Produce clear and concise reports, ensuring information is aligned with our editorial standards.
• Work closely with internal teams to enhance aggregation efforts and foster knowledge-sharing.
Required Skills, Experience And Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Previous experience in journalism or a related role, particularly in financial reporting, is a strong advantage.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• An ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources quickly and accurately.
• Proficiency in working with digital tools and platforms for news monitoring and aggregation.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Note - This would be a junior role executive level.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Executive – Plants to oversee product selection, inventory, merchandising, and vendor management for our plant and floral category. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of plant care and market trends, combined with strong retail and supply chain acumen. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-centric retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Selection & Inventory Management
• Source high-quality plants, flowers, and gardening accessories in collaboration with buyers and suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and plan stock replenishment based on demand forecasts and seasonality.
• Analyze sales trends to optimize product assortment and minimize overstock or waste.
• Ensure timely delivery and rotation of fresh stock to maintain product quality and shelf appeal.
2. Merchandising & Display Management
• Design and maintain attractive in-store and online displays to enhance customer engagement.
• Execute planograms and align displays with seasonal merchandising strategies.
• Ensure clear labeling of products with pricing, care instructions, and promotional signage.
• Oversee the health, cleanliness, and presentation of all plant displays.
3. Sales & Promotions
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams on promotional planning and execution.
• Evaluate sales data to identify best-sellers and underperforming items, suggesting improvements accordingly.
• Recommend pricing and promotional strategies to drive sales and profitability.
• Support staff training and customer education on plant care and product knowledge.
4. Supplier & Vendor Relations
• Negotiate competitive prices and ensure the procurement of high-quality stock.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local growers and suppliers.
• Track supplier performance and address any concerns regarding quality or logistics.
5. Compliance & Quality Control
• Maintain high standards for plant health, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor in-store care conditions such as temperature, light, and watering schedules.
• Support sustainable sourcing initiatives and ensure eco-friendly practices are upheld.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in retail merchandising, ideally within the garden, plant, or floral industry.
• Solid understanding of plant care, seasonal sales cycles, and consumer preferences.
• Strong analytical skills for inventory planning and sales analysis.
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
• A creative mindset with an eye for visual merchandising.
• Hands-on attitude with the ability to multitask in a dynamic retail setting.
• Effective communicator and team player.
