Job Description
The Catering Manager reports directly to the Food Service Director and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Catering department.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee catering functions and special events for internal and external clients/groups:
Meet with clients to determine catering requirements, floor plans, rentals, and staffing for events.
Responsible for customer booking and creating contracts.
Work closely with the Executive Chef to plan menus for clients.
Operational Responsibilities
The Catering Manager is responsible for:
Ensuring job instructions are clearly understood so that tasks are completed effectively to the client's satisfaction.
Ensuring all staff provide quality, courteous service to all customers.
Managing catering purchases and inventory.
Participating in Operational Reviews for the Catering Department.
Priorities and Accountabilities
The Catering Manager will prioritize:
Responsible for seeking new clients and sales to grow the business.
Establishing and maintaining clientele relationships.
Resolving customer concerns.
Leadership and Development
The Catering Manager will oversee:
Staff scheduling.
Training and management of staff.
Safety and Compliance
The Catering Manager is responsible for ensuring:
Proper handling of Company Property.
All staff adhere to the Health and Safety Policy as well as Aramark Policies and Procedures.
Continuous Improvement
The Catering Manager will uphold Classic Fare Catering standards through:
Training and participating in program updates offered by Head Office.
Additional Responsibilities
The Catering Manager may be assigned other duties by their Manager as needed.
