Job description
Job Title: Chef de Partie
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie to join our Kitchen team at {company}. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will contribute to the achievement of high-quality standards in all areas of food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for Ora Bistro and room service.
Lead team members by setting a positive example and ensuring strict stock rotation and minimum wastage.
Implement and maintain stock control procedures.
Assist Head/Sous Chef with menu preparation and ensure adequate supplies are available for expected service.
Work with and coordinate the work of kitchen team members in the preparation and production of food as required.
Prepare and ensure the availability of mis en place as required.
Keep all working areas clean and tidy.
Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced, and cleaned.
Supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Head and Sous Chef.
Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met.
Requirements:
Minimum of 18 months experience in a similar role.
Possession of passion for culinary arts.
Ability to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously.
Excellent command of/level of English.
Working rights for New Zealand.
Physically fit and energetic.
Reliable, punctual with excellent personal presentation.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work on a rotating 7 days a week roster including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
