Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare and cook dishes according to standard recipes and specifications.
Station Management: Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conduct regular inspections of ingredients and equipment to ensure freshness and proper functionality.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders.
Training and Supervision: Train and supervise junior staff members, ensuring they understand and follow proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and kitchen protocols.
Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste.
Menu Development: Contribute ideas for menu development and improvement, including creating new dishes and updating existing ones.
Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements:
Culinary Education: Diploma or degree in culinary arts or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a similar role.
Culinary Skills: Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods, with a strong knowledge of different cuisines.
Organization: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Team Player: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
