Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced chef to join our client's restaurant in GYMEA. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills and a passion for great food and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare high-quality dishes with attention to presentation.
Menu Planning: Create menus and specials that meet customer expectations.
Cost Control: Estimate food costs and order supplies as required.
Kitchen Management: Advise kitchen staff on cooking techniques and procedures.
Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.
Staff Training: Work with management to recruit and train new kitchen staff if required.
Required Skills:
Chef Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
Presentation and Creativity: A passion for great food and presentation is a must.
Leadership and Goal-Setting: Ability to prioritize, set goals, and achieve them.
Kitchen Operations: Experience in kitchen operations and staff training is required.
Menu Creation and Costing: Experience with menu creation and costings is essential.
Stock Control and Waste Minimization: Experience in stock control and wastage minimization is required.
