Job description
BPAS are an independent healthcare charity which, for more than 55 years, has been advocating and caring for women and couples who decide to end a pregnancy. We are the leading specialist of abortion advice and treatment in the UK, supporting over 100,000 women a year in over 50 healthcare clinics nationwide.
Over the last 12 months we have gone through significant organisational change and are putting in place a new leadership structure, supported by a Senior Operational Team. This role is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team

The role of the Chief Clinical Officer is central to BPAS commitment to delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care. As a key member of our C-suite, your responsibilities will include shaping and driving our clinical strategy to ensure it aligns with our vision and miss
ion.You will oversee the delivery of nursing, midwifery, medical, and surgical services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of patient safety and quality. Additionally, you will be instrumental in guiding our organisation through one of its most transformative periods, working closely with trustees, C-suite and Senior Operating Team members to improve effectiveness, foster continuous learning, and enhance our imp
act.We are seeking a Chief Clinical Officer with a strong clinical background and proven experience at a senior leadership level. You will bring expertise in clinical governance, patient safety, and operational performance, coupled with a deep understanding of healthcare planning and regulation. Your ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, navigate complex challenges, and inspire others is critical. A formal management or leadership qualification, along with experience in a board-level role, is essent
