SECTION III: JOB PURPOSE
• This role is the primary custodian of the strategic goals and culture of the organization.
• The role holder will work with and advise the board on articulating the strategic direction and the vision for the organization, and will work with the executive management team in defining the goals and success parameters in order to fulfill the strategic direction which the Client aims to achieve.
• The role holder will own the brand, customer and employee relationships on behalf of the organization.
SECTION IV: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Area of Responsibility
Responsibilities
• Strategy & Planning
1. Defines long-term and mid-term strategy of the organization to establish a strong foothold in the urban market whilst simultaneously strengthening penetration in the agricultural sector in order to effectively manage the expectations of the Board and stakeholders
2. Identifies annual priorities and ensures delivery of annual targets by providing guidance to executive management for effective execution
3. Spearhead the product development and capacity expansion strategy of the organization in consultation with the Executive Chairman and the Board
4. Governs company's financial, operational and organizational structure to plan for continual improvements and increase in operational efficiency
5. Drives the comprehensive digital transformation of business operations, enhancing efficiency, customer engagement, and data-driven decision-making in close collaboration with the CIO
• Financial
1. Governs the creation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) in alignment with the business strategy along with the top leadership team. The role holder will also create buy-in on the AOP with the Board
2. Reviews and assesses the progress of annual operating plan to ensure achievement of profitability while providing strategic advise on financial risk assessment (its potential impact) and providing recommendations for mitigating identified risks
3. Governs the handling of the banking relationships and works closely with CFO to foster and grow strategic financial partnerships
• Customer Management
1. Governs the key account management strategy along with Head - S&M, and manages relationship with key client stakeholders and institutions to drive organization brand, recall and to farm further opportunities with large customers
2. Ensures achievement of AOP objectives through a periodic assessment and review of critical top line metrics. Provides guidance to the S&M head for identifying new avenues, partnerships, and investments
3. Manages relationship with key industry bodies / platforms and explore new client attraction avenues as a representative of the organization to attract new customers / business
• Compliance & Regulatory
1. Governs the regulatory policy of the organization by overseeing development, modification and implementation of policies, procedures and controls for the organization are in compliance with regulatory, risk and audit requirements
2. Establishes, maintains, and strengthens relations with senior government and regulatory authorities to further organization interests
3. Governs the EHS & ESG goals of the organization in close collaboration with Director - Technical Services to ensure zero incidents across shopfloors, drive efficiency, usage of green resources and reduction of waste
4. Governs the CSR goals of the organisation in close collaboration with Mukul Madhav Foundation to support local communities and rural institutions through initiatives in healthcare, education, food equality, and sanitation
• People & Leadership
1. Cascades and governs the performance objectives of the executive management and regularly reviews performance of the team in close collaboration with the CHRO
2. Guides the design and implementation of people objectives for the organization
3. Lead and mentor a team of executives and managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance
4. Defines and drives mission, vision and culture of the organization with the executive management team

The role holder uses his/her influence in aligning the team to stakeholder's agenda and achievement of AOP objectives

The role holder uses his/her influence in pursuing and delivering messages to a diverse audience with varying perspectives

The role holder uses their persuasive skill to align diverse perspectives (of stakeholders & executive managements) and create a buy in with the Board
• Customers
Manages strategic communication and possess the authority to take a decision across significant multicultural requirements
• Financial Institutions
Negotiates on behalf of the organization to persuade financial institutions for more favourable outcome for the Client
• Government & Regulatory Authorities
The role holder optimizes on his/her influence to pursue the stakeholder for more favourable outcome and in cases negotiate for a better outcome
• Distributors & Vendors
Manages strategic communication and possess the authority to take a decision across significant multicultural requirements
SECTION VI: REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
• Minimum Education Qualification MBA from a premium B-School / BE in Mechanical Engineering or other technical field
• Minimum Experience (in Years) Good to Have: 20+ years of experience in Pipes & Fittings or allied industries & last 5+ years’ experience in an executive leadership position
• Must Have: 15+ years of experience in a Pipes & Fittings or allied industry & last 5+ years' experience in an executive leadership position as managing operations or finances of a mid to large size manufacturing organization
