Oklahoma Human Services offers a rewarding career opportunity for a Child Welfare Specialist to join our team in Lawton, Oklahoma. As a key member of our Child Protective Services team, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse or neglect and providing services to help families overcome barriers that put their children's safety at risk.

With extensive training provided to new employees, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as treatment and preventive services, family engagement, and permanency planning.
As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Conducting investigations into allegations of child abuse or neglect
Providing services to families to help them overcome barriers to keeping their children safe
Developing and implementing treatment plans to promote family stability and well-being
Collaborating with other agencies and community partners to ensure children receive the support they need
Additionally, you will participate in the Child Welfare Core Academy Training Program, which provides comprehensive training in areas such as investigation, assessment, and case management.
Travel is an essential part of this role, and you must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance. State vehicles will be available for use to carry out the duties of the position.
