About The Role

The Transport Network Operations branch provide high level maintenance, construction and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets (pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture).

As the successful candidate you will undertake general construction and maintenance labouring tasks associated with and including truck operations.

The successful applicant will be required to assist with a broad range of civil maintenance activities including operating and maintaining Council’s machinery and equipment.

The position holds a strong Workplace Health & Safety & Environmental focus. As such, the successful candidate will be required to comply with the WH&S Act and Environmental Protection Act.

About You

You’ll be reliable and a team player, who is capable carrying out tasks within set timeframes. Your problem-solving skills and communication skills will be exceptional, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

As a Requirement Of This Role, You Will Have

Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
30215 Qld – General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) – White Card
Relevant experience within the industry
Additional plant and machinery licences will be highly regarded

Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre-employment medical assessment.
