Full Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accounts specialist to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
· Initiating online bank payments for INR and USD remittance
· Posting general ledger entries
· Assisting in month end closure of accounting books
· Booking bank entries for Corporate A/C
· Preparing bank reconciliation statements for INR and USD bank accounts
· Preparing balance sheet schedules for prepaid expenses, prepaid insurance, depreciation and posting entries for the same.
· Making quarterly payments
· Assisting in making monthly MIS reports, forecasts, and budgets if any
· Assisting in maintaining employee personal records, leave records and attendance register.
· Issue daily cash disbursements and maintain reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
· Ensuring proper supporting bills are provided for each transaction and posting entries in general ledgers and monthly cash reconciliations.
· Check invoice addressee names, approval as per Chart of Authority and internal guidelines, change in bank account details and timely accounting of books.
· Assist in vendor payments – within supplier’s credit terms by creating vouchers and initiating payments.
· Creating and maintaining client invoicing management system.
· Assist in maintaining records of assets by numbering and follow up.
STATUTORY COMPLIANCE
· Assisting in withholding tax payments before 7th of every month and preparation of working for TDS payment to file quarterly returns within due dates.
· Assist in checking provident fund use, remittance of payment before 15th of every month (AS applicable)
· Assisting in stopping provident fund payments and ESI forms before by 15th of every month (As applicable).
· Assist in GST working and GST refund (as applicable) for monthly filing.
· Assisting in compliance with the labour law
· Maintaining and tracking client, vendor, direct sales, partner agreements or contracts, invoices and other filings
· Plan and prepare required records, documents, files and annual audit process.
Requirements (Qualifications & Skills)
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
6+ years of accounting experience.
Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong organizational and stress management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
Ability to train and manage staff.
Ability to work with little to no supervision.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
