Job description
The Clinical Coding Lead drives casemix optimisation and supports Activity Based Funding outcomes by providing expert guidance in clinical coding and classification.

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Coding Lead to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

Be an expert in clinical coding and classification to guide the development and optimisation of coding products
Analyse, validate, and reconcile coded data using state, local, and national databases and analytics tools
Identify training needs, develop and deliver education programs for coding and clinical staff
Provide expert advice on the interpretation of coded data, including its implications for activity-based funding

About You

To be successful in this position you will require:

Whilst not mandatory, a diploma in Clinical Coding would be well regarded
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Base salary ranging from $121 360 - $12+ ++8 per annum
