Dunedin Hospital
Permanent, part-time role (0.45 FTE, 36 hours per fortnight)
Salary band - $116,000 - $127,000 p.a pro-rata and KiwiSaver

About the role:

Reporting to the ACNM for PaR
Rotating shifts Monday to Sunday with 12 and 8 hour shifts available
Strive for excellence in clinical services and focuses on patient centred care
Use advanced clinical skills to identify patients at risk and work closely with the primary teams to monitor and implement interventions to prevent deterioration
Provide specialist PaR nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery
Mentor staff so they too gain further knowledge and skill
Act in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes
Supported to complete the required New Zealand outreach nurse competency assessment

About you:

Current Nursing Council registration and APC
Must already hold New Zealand working rights as we are unable to sponsor a visa for this role
Proven clinical nursing experience in acute or critical care, ED/ICU/HDU
Working towards relevant postgraduate qualifications at a minimum of a Diploma or a master's degree (e.g. health assessment, critical care)
Advanced learning and contemporary knowledge in either Acute Care, HDU, ED or ICU nursing
Current Core Advanced certification
Holds Level 4 or Senior Nurse PDRP, or Level 3 and working towards Level 4
Salary range

This role belongs to the NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($116,040 p.a) and Step 3 ($127,674 p.a pro-rata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale Grade 2.
