Join our Commercial Operations Programme Team

The Commercial Operations Programme team at Softcat will be the powerhouse behind the successful delivery of vendor programmes. You will evaluate and ensure that each programme not only aligns with strategic objectives but also brings tangible value to customers and impacts Softcat positively. With a keen focus on governance, the team effectively manages interconnected projects, guaranteeing that programme execution meets the highest quality standards. They are adept at resource allocation, risk mitigation, and financial management, all while providing detailed reports to stakeholders. Their commitment to continuous improvement and gap analysis drives innovation, making recommendations that enhance vendor programme effectiveness. Programmes looked after by this team will include, but are not limited to; large investment agreements, end customer funding, partner competencies / specialisations & the Softcat Vendor Framework.

Be a SME in developing and maximising efficiency of Vendor programme utilisation

The Commercial Operations Programme Executive will support in developing and maximising efficiency of vendors programme utilisation with a longer term view of governance. Becoming a subject matter expert in your aligned partners programmes and supporting the Commercial Operations Programmes Senior Manager in continually evaluating suitability and importance of programmes based on commerciality.

As a Commercial Operations Programme Executive, you'll be responsible for:
• Collaborating with the alliances team, enablement team and sales to ensure successful programme delivery, risk management and reporting
• Understanding the specifics of the program and supportingwith prioritising importance of programmes and identifying suitability to target customers
• Performance reporting for individual programmes on a regular occurrence and assisting sales in understanding and following required process of programs
• End to end management of programme execution and adhering to programme governance to track and support the interlinked projects effectively
• Ensuring the programme outputs meet the required standards and report on impact following delivery of programmes
• Allocating and supporting resources across multiple projects within the programme
• Identifying and mitigating risks throughout the Programme lifecycle and providing regular reports on to senior management and other key stakeholders
• Reporting on the programme budget and providing insights on the alignment of financial objectives so that profitability can being assessed
• Contributing to improvements in process and efficiency through innovation and identifying gaps in vendor programmes and making recommendations to Alliances

We'd love you to have
• Logical approach to qualify and manage programme within a technology or sales environment.
• Ability to report on programme performance and identify areas for improvement
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• An ability to think strategically with a knack for risk assessment, resource allocation, and commerciality awareness
• Be able to commit to continuous improvement, with a keen eye for identify gaps and craft innovative solutions
