The Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) is the professional membership body for pharmacists and technicians in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This four-month fixed-term role is an exciting one – it will be leading work supporting a national campaign we are launching and our membership renewal process as well as day-to-day communications and engagement.

We are looking for somebody with health sector experience and, ideally, established links with organisations within the sector and health media.

The role will:

Prepare and maintain communication and engagement plans for key initiatives, with clear and effective approaches to stakeholder engagement and communication.
Work closely with and support the CEO and leadership team to identify communications opportunities and risks and provide proactive strategic and operational advice.
Lead and support the production, design and evaluation of engaging content to use in our regular publications, our website and across social channels including written, image-based, video, podcast/audio content.
Manage media enquiries and promotional activities, including developing press releases and pitching story opportunities, supporting the development of presentations and speeches for the leadership team
Project manage relevant engagement projects and events.
Key Skills & Experience:

· Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally in communications, or extensive equivalent experience.

· An understanding of, and experience in, the health sector and, ideally, membership organisations.

· Ability to liaise, negotiate, and influence individuals with diverse functions.

· Minimum 5+ years of communications experience.

· Strong writing and verbal communication skills.

· High-level communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
