About the Role
The State Government of Victoria, Australia is seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Development Officer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Aboriginal Land Rights Team to develop and implement projects that improve outcomes for Aboriginal Victorians.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development and implementation of projects and programs that address the social, economic, and cultural needs of Aboriginal Victorians;
Assist in building partnerships and engaging with government agencies and community groups;
Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote the rights and interests of Aboriginal people.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience working with Aboriginal communities;
Strong community engagement and project management skills;
Excellent written communication and analytical skills;
Sound judgment and initiative with the ability to think strategically.
