Adfast is currently seeking a Compliance Laboratory Technician!
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Quality Director, the main responsibilities of this position are quality control, analysis, and management of laboratory equipment.
Working Conditions:
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, Day shift, On-site
Status : Permanent
Benefits: Group insurance, RRSP program
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Quality Control
Carry out quality control testing of finished products and data entry of results (ERP);
Carry out certain validations (color, purging, dispersion, printing, raw material in SS, format, packaging, formulation in dispenser) of products in production;
Support the quality team and production when there are problems to be solved.
Analyses
Perform accelerated ageing, fatigue, tensile strength or pull-out elongation, cross-linking speed, hardness, viscosity, density, etc. tests;
Perform tests with the following equipment: Tensile tester (instron), durometer, viscometer, climatic chamber (UV, T° and %HR, salt fog); Hockman machine.
Equipment and Documentation
Start up new equipment;
Calibrate equipment;
Update work instructions;
With time, possibility for project management
Take charge of the request, order the necessary material, plan and implement the different steps related to the accomplishment of the project, write reports and present the results;
Analyze/compile data.
Job Requirements:
Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) or Bachelor's degree in chemistry, materials and polymers or other related field;
0 to 3 years' experience;
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
Knowledge of WHMIS and hazardous materials handling;
Knowledge of ASTM standards (asset);
Experience in the manufacturing field (asset);
Fluency in spoken and written French and English.
