Job Summary
We are seeking a Construction Project Manager (Mechanical) for a high profile, mega-project at JFK Airport in Queens, NY. The Construction Project Manager (Mechanical) will be involved with underground piping, mechanical piping, hot water generators, chilled water distribution, and Combined Heat and Power (CHRP) projects. The ideal candidate will lead and manage complex construction projects, ensuring that all systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, project management skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Manage, document and report the conditions of various systems (existing and new construction) - specifically underground piping systems, other mechanical piping systems, hot water generators and chilled water distribution systems.
Oversee CHRP construction projects, ensuring efficient integration of heat and power systems.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, clients, and Port Authority to ensure project objectives are met.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting throughout project lifecycles.
Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in relevant construction and engineering projects.
Proven expertise in underground and mechanical piping, hot water generators, chilled water systems, and CHRP projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools.
Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
Prior Port Authority or aviation experience is preferred.
Salary: $150,000 - $185,000
