Role Overview:

This role offers great variety, working with a number of specialists both internally and externally, and maintaining excellent working relationships.

The job involves seeing the full spectrum of psychiatry, from enduring mental illness through to trauma, grief and distress.

As a clinical expert, you will ensure that appropriate and current knowledge, skills, and attitudes in psychiatry are applied to clinical situations and team decision-making.

You will participate in clinical partnerships to ensure patients and their families receive integrated, effective, and efficient assessment and care.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide quality clinical services to patients within Waikato Hospital boundaries
Apply current knowledge, skills, and attitudes in psychiatry to clinical situations and team decision-making
Participate in clinical partnerships for patient-centered care
About Us:
We are the Mental Health and Addictions Service arm of Health New Zealand Te Whatu - Waikato.

We provide specialist services for patients experiencing serious mental health difficulties.

Family involvement in recovery is encouraged, and we work closely with community partners across Waikato.

Requirements:
A Psychiatrist vocationally registered or eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
