Preparing and Cooking Continental Dishes:This includes a wide range of dishes, from appetizers to desserts, using various cooking techniques and adhering to specific recipes and standards.
Maintaining High Standards of Quality:Ensuring food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, with attention to detail in terms of taste, appearance, and texture.
Menu Planning and Recipe Development:Collaborating with the head chef or sous chef to create new dishes and seasonal specials, adapting menus to customer preferences and seasonal availability.
Managing Inventory and Ordering Supplies:Overseeing the inventory of ingredients, ensuring sufficient stock levels, and placing orders for necessary supplies while adhering to budgetary guidelines.
Supervising and Training Junior Chefs:Guiding and mentoring junior chefs, providing training on cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen procedures.
Ensuring Food Safety and Hygiene:Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety regulations, and implementing proper hygiene practices.
