An exciting large growth phase has recently commenced for an Exclusive Build Client to Randstad, and new teams are being established in two locations.
Are you an ambitious and driven Contract Administrator, looking to be furthered in your career, and be really valued for your skill and commercial acumen; this new exciting team could be for you.
As an esteemed, diverse builder in Commercial, Defense and Industrial projects up to $100 million, our client is seeking Contract Administrators up to Mid level, on mixed government projects (GC21). These roles would be suited for focussed performers looking to fast track to Project Manager.
What sets this builder aside from others is their supported team, which is well resourced, proactive and collaborative, with payments being made to their subcontractors within 72 hours. Their reputation is unsurpassed, and professionals want to work for them.
The Roles
With high commercial acumen, excellent negotiation skills and a sheer passion for your work you will be required to work well autonomously, but also well within a team, communicating effectively with peers and designated Project Managers daily.
You will be focussed negotiator, managing the financial aspects of sub-contract packages for Mixed Commercial, Government, Residential over $1 million AUD. Ideally with GC21 exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Progress claim assistance, external variations, preparation of subcontractor packages.
Reviewing, negotiating, and finalising subcontracts.
Administering RFI’s.
Preparing subcontract package’s (scopes, procurement and scheduling).
To Be Successful
You will be a CA and have over 3 year’s plus experience working for a reputable Australian recognised Builder on mixed projects over $2 million, ideally with commercial, industrial, defence or government exposure in Australia.
Have worked for an Australian Recognised Building Contractor.
Degree qualified in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
High exposure to head contract work and scopes.
Experience in sub contract claims, variations, EOT’s and cost planning.
Passionate person, with a thirst for challenge and energy to over achieve.
Proficient in software packages, MS project, PROCORE experience highly advantageous but not essential.
Clear detailed writing skills.
Can minute projects minutes
Has experienced in forecasting and budget reports
Converse with confidence
Is a team player
Can explain clearly to contractors what they require.
Has negotiation skills
The right CA will understand that sometimes you need to stay back to get the work done, but as a medium sized builder, with family commitments also, there is flexibility and understanding around working arrangements.
